DAY 1130: South to Eden

It was wonderful to spend a week with Don and Nat. Today they led me down the mountain using much easier roads. There were spectacular views. When they got on the highway, I continued on back roads. First to get a shower at Planet Fitness – my first one in a week, the longest I've gone in four years. Then food shopping, then gas, then on to Reynolds Brewery in Eden, NC. It's a Harvest Host location, and the host came out to meet me and gave me a great place to park. The Cabernet Sauvignon was good, as were the meatballs and fried mushroom. Don't much like the road noise, but it's still early for a Saturday night. The chef here has wanted a bus, so I invited him to visit when he gets off work. (He never came.)

I don't know what inspired me, but after dinner I turned on my diesel heater, which hasn't worked since spring. It took a few minutes, but it's pushing out hot air!! It's not even going to get that cold (37, when some previous nights were in the 20s) but it's going to be like southern Florida in here tonight.

In case you were unaware, today is 11-11. Yes, Veteran's Day ... and I offer sincere gratitude to all who served. 11-11 is also considered the most powerful manifestation day of the year. And if you add in the year, 11+11+2023 you get another 11 as well. There are lots of videos you can find about it. The one I began with had me listing 11 things for which I am grateful, 11 things I learned this year, 11 things I most desire, and 11 ways in which I serve the world. There are affirmations and other exercises I will be doing from now until the dark moon in Scorpio on Monday. I hope you'll take the opportunity to draw to you everything and then some.

I am headed in a fairly straight line to the skoolie homestead in Jesup, and from there, to a dentist. I lost a large filling in a front tooth and I am trying not to worry about it, or chip what's left on something.
