July 29: Family Reunions

I spent almost a week parked at a friend’s farm, enjoying her company, taking Sunshine for walks when he’d let me put on his harness, catching sunrises, and picking flowers. It was so very quiet and peaceful so I am happy I am welcome to return.

During that time I visited with family and friends. There was a fabulous dinner at Stella Dora in Middletown with my sister, cousin, and aunt; snacks with the same aunt and her friends who patiently taught me to play their version of mahjong; and that was followed by dinner and drinks with her and another aunt. I had lunch with a my favorite cousin once removed. A friend came to visit.

There were witches, tarot readings, attempts to buy a huge cauldron, and the longest drive I’ve had with Karmalita since arriving in Connecticut. I did a lot of reading and finished two book reviews for pagan pages, and managed to live only on solar, thanks to sunny days.

I am getting ready for a full moon ritual tonight. Tomorrow I meet up with my daughter and ex-husband for lunch, then this weekend I will gather with witches to celebrate Lughnasadh. And I will continue to read and review two more books and three oracle decks for Pagan Pages.
