July 18: My Ship May Be Coming In

Since meeting Michelle Peters at The Charmed Emporium last week, energy has been moving. It was subtle at first. I began working with her oracle deck “Little Witchcrafts” so I could prepare to interview here and write a review for PaganPages.

The first card I pulled was The Lightening, warning of danger. I did the spell associated with the card, and was assured what was coming would not become a total disaster. Sure enough, the next day I started up Karmalita to take me to the dentist for a much-dreaded procedure and the low coolant light came on. Panic washed over me. But I had allotted extra time heeding the warning to be prepared. I added more coolant and called the mechanic. It appears it was only a burp because the coolant I added did not disappear on that drive. Or the next.

The next card I pulled from the deck was The Candle, which spoke of rekindling hope that had faded and remaining grounded while waiting for answers that were coming. I had called four places to inquire about renting two days ago, but none had gotten back to me. Two I then figured out were scams. I did the candle ritual associated with the card and began another search.

The Raven was Friday’s card. I did the spell with a black feather and a white candle, and visualized The Raven flying through shadows and bringing clarity and light to my “Do I Rent or Do I Nomad” situation. One place got back to me and said if the manager would allow me to park Karmalita in the lot, I could view the unit Monday.

Today I pulled The Ship. It represented charting a new course and promised that the journey I was to take would be transformational. A few hours later, on a whim, I messaged the woman who’d been the best neighbor I had for the ten years I was in the condo. She is a Realtor and handled the sale of my condo. She was living in the town just up the road from where I’m parked. I hadn’t seen her since I left eight years ago. I half jokingly asked if I could live across the hall from her again. She called immediately. It turns out she had a lakefront rental on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere that was being renovated. I’m meeting her there Tuesday.

There is much more to the story, but I’ll just say the energy is no longer subtle and scattered pieces of myself that have been in limbo for years are falling into place with remarkable ease. I’ll post an update Tuesday night.
